The blast killed the driver and left seven others injured. The FBI is now looking into whether this explosion was a terrorist attack.

The incident occurred around 8:40 a.m. local time, just hours after a deadly attack in New Orleans, where a truck crashed into a crowd, killing 15. T

he Cybertruck, rented through a service called Turo, had been rented in Colorado and was seen bursting into flames in front of the Trump hotel.

Authorities believe the explosion may have been caused by large fireworks or even a bomb in the truck bed. Tesla CEO Elon Musk later confirmed this, saying the explosion was unrelated to the vehicle itself.

Witnesses were horrified as flames erupted from the truck. Videos taken by people in the area showed bystanders running for their lives as the fire spread.

The hotel was quickly evacuated, and guests were moved to nearby hotels for safety. The scene was chaotic, with many wondering what would happen next.

Sheriff Kevin McMahill from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police spoke to the media, saying, “This is a serious situation, and we have a lot of questions.”

The explosion happening outside a hotel linked to former President Donald Trump raised even more concerns. The FBI’s Jeremy Schwartz said it was too early to tell if the explosion was an act of terrorism but confirmed they were investigating all possibilities.

Later, it was discovered that large fireworks or a bomb in the truck bed were to blame for the explosion. Elon Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to explain, saying, “The explosion was caused by large fireworks or a bomb in the truck bed. The vehicle itself had no issues.”

Musk also pointed out that the Cybertruck’s design may have saved lives. “The Cybertruck contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards, preventing more damage,” he tweeted.

Sadly, the driver of the Cybertruck was killed in the explosion, but seven other people were injured.

Two of them were taken to the hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening. Authorities are still working to confirm the driver’s identity.

A representative from Turo, the car rental service, confirmed that the renter had no criminal history.

The timing of the Las Vegas explosion raised many questions because of the New Orleans attack that happened earlier in the day.

Police had also found a possible bomb in the truck involved in that incident, which led to increased concerns in Las Vegas.

Elon Musk added his thoughts on the incident, saying, “The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack.

The Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards.” His comment emphasized that the truck’s design might have minimized the destruction.

Eric Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump, also commented on the situation. He wrote on X, “Earlier today, a reported electric vehicle fire occurred in the porte cochère of Trump Las Vegas.”

His tweet shared that the explosion had taken place outside the hotel and expressed his support for the investigation.

Authorities continue to investigate the explosion and whether it could be linked to terrorism or other motives.

The connection to the New Orleans attack has made people more anxious, and many are hoping for answers soon.

While the explosion was tragic, many are grateful that the damage wasn’t worse, especially considering the tragic events earlier that day in New Orleans.

First responders acted quickly, and the Cybertruck’s design helped contain the blast. Still, the community is left with many unanswered questions.

The FBI is working hard to find out who was behind this attack, and the public is waiting for more details to emerge.

In the meantime, everyone is hoping for justice and safety for all those affected by this terrible event.
